Ooops. I forgot to publish the last post. So, hey, bonus! 2 posts in one day...sorta.
That same day I found out about the Child Support case, I took Rachel to the emergency room. She passed out in the shower and got very sick. Of course, the hospital didn't know what was wrong, nothing obvious was standing out to them other than a bit of dehydration (fighting a nasty cold). Her Endocrinologist didn't what to see that her medication was having an effect. The pediatrician couldn't pin point it either. Her white blood cells were low (thyroid meds cause that) she had been running a fever over 101 for several days and her heart rate was tachycardic increasing her blood pressure.
Long story short, they took her off her meds and put her on an antibiotic for a possible sinus infection. She went back on her meds last Friday and immediately started with fever again and now a nasty allergic rash.
She's off the meds again, but this time for good. We are going for the Radioactive Iodine treatment (that would be number 53 and 88 on your periodic table) and she'll be thyroid free (mostly) in a few weeks. She'll end up Hypothyroid, but a much easier treatment than this mess we've been going through for almost a year.
The last year has been filled with ups and downs and sickness and stress and doctor bills and the incredible high of actually having health insurance. I'm excited to see if this treatment helps her and extremely nervous of the outcome.
Someday, I would like to get back to normal.

I am so glad she is okay, or better than she was anyway. I hope everything goes well. And I am so happy you have health insurance now!
Hope Rachel is much better. And I'm jealous that you have health insurance! :) Someday I'll get some.
Haha. Normal? Isn't that the most recent test results? NORMAL!! Woohoo! Praise Jesus! Wow! Prayer is powerful!
