5 to Midnight

Camping was fun. It was nice to get out and away from home. It also helps to live in a place, where, if you drive 30 minutes...your in the middle of a nowhere that resembles eden. Or so it would seem. The place was buzzing with tons of Dragon Flies. Some so colorful and graceful. Baby bumble bees flit from wild flower to wild flower...and the mosquitos feasted on campers' nectar. (Ok that sounds weird to refer to blood as nectar. But I am sure "they" think so.) I and my daughter, were fortunate and pampered to have been able to sleep in my folks' 5th wheel. So nice...and certainly My way to camp. Yes siree. I like nature...and I love sitting by the campfire, dirty feet that get washed in the river, and a little bit of grit in the bottom of my coffee cup, but sleeping on the cold hard ground...I am not so wild about.

I got to walk with Rachel a bit. I love just walking and spending time with her. Talking about the flowers on the side of the river, focusing in on the bugs that inhabit them and just appreciating the time we get together. So soon it will be gone.

We decided to take in a movie at the last minute tonight. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. It was...ok. But this is coming from someone that grew up waiting, excitedly, every year when they would show it on TV. I loved it. I loved the book. So, to see the changes they made...sort of took away some of the magic of it, I think.

I finished the 100 things...thing. Just in case you wanted to know.
